This long-standing healthcare institution opened its doors over 100 years ago and has since gained a reputation of providing top quality healthcare to its surrounding communities. Ever since its origin, this medical facility has strived to address the leading healthcare needs in the community, promote and facilitate preventative care, foster a positive environment for higher education, and overall focus on patient satisfaction. Today, this accredited healthcare facility is home to over 700 licensed beds and is now considered one of the largest non-profit teaching hospitals in the area.

The Nursing Director of Inpatient Dialysis will work within a unit comprised of 10 hemodialysis beds that is responsible for caring for up to 30 patients daily. In addition to the daily operations of the Inpatient Dialysis unit, this hospital also operates a 20+ station ambulatory dialysis center locally in the area.

The Nursing Director of Inpatient Dialysis will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer and will be responsible for identifying, monitoring, and evaluating the nursing standards of practice and departmental quality within the Inpatient Dialysis unit. The Nursing Director of Inpatient Dialysis will be supported by an advanced team of clinical professionals and will be expected to interact with the staff and senior leadership to establish the philosophy and goals of the Inpatient Dialysis department. The Nursing Director of Inpatient Dialysis should also demonstrate adequate knowledge of legal, regulatory, and union requirements for service.

This hospital is located within King’s County, an area that many refer to as “one of the best places to live in New York”. This area is known to provide a dense metropolitan feel and offers many restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. The area is quite diverse; however, it is a rather popular place to live for many families and young professionals.

This respectable healthcare facility is prepared to offer a competitive salary including a suitable benefit package.
