POAH Communities is an exciting and highly entrepreneurial organization committed to community development and to preserving affordable rental housing.  We are seeking a highly qualified professional to serve as Property Management Compliance Associate to support the Director of Compliance and Compliance team.  Reporting to the Director of Compliance, the successful candidate will thrive in a team oriented environment and will be responsible for the following: 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and follow-up on Monthly Compliance reports
  • Schedule due dates for audit responses and follow-up
  • Upload audits and responses to a property and asset management software platform (i.e., POAH Integratec (PI)
  • Update HUD, MOR and REAC Scores in Active Partners Performance System (APPS)
  • Review and collect Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) logs
  • Track and monitor Specials Claims processing, ensuring claims are approved
  • Track resident annual recertifications to ensure timely completion
  • Enter and manage tenant data in state agencies software system for annual compliance
  • Update Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing Plans and Tenant Selection Plans as needed
  • Complete projects and assignments by determining priorities, managing time, gaining cooperation of others and monitoring progress
  • Maintain proper confidentiality when handling sensitive matters
  • Remain current on company technology
  • Complete other related tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, including but not limited to: senior staff, site teams, residents, community partners, and vendors
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and be self-directed
  • Highly experienced with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal, written and customer service communication skills

EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s degree and additional qualification preferred
