Human Resources Manager – San Diego, CA 92121

Salary Range:  $120k-160k plus Benefits

Reports to:  SVP of Operations

Direct Hire, Full Time, Monday-Friday

 

Privately-owned company founded in 2005 and headquartered in San Diego, in the Torrey Pines/Sorrento Valley area, with two additional office locations in Boston and London, this outstanding corporation employs over 40 people across the three office sites.  The company provides procurement platforms which enable scientists to accelerate their research to more effectively find cures.

 

The company is currently seeking a Human Resources Manager to join the team.  The Human Resources Manager will create and execute HR programs to attract, develop, and retain top talent. The ideal candidate will have a combination of strong Human Resources (HR) and business acumen skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to thrive in a self-directed environment.

The HR Manager will work closely with business leaders to deliver solutions and change management plans that provide sustainable benefits. The HR Manager helps to translate HR initiatives and serves as an advisor to business leaders regarding HR policies and processes (e.g., performance management and talent planning) to optimize employee engagement and productivity. 

 

This individual will be responsible for all HR functions, including talent acquisition, total rewards, retention, organizational development, employment compliance, employee relations, and talent management and succession planning. 

 

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or related field
  • 7-10 years of progressive HR experience
  • SHRM-SCP and/or SPHR and PHR-CA certifications desired
  • Specialized training in employment law, compensation, employee relations, organizational planning, training, and preventive labor relations
  • Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations and ongoing community involvement
