Job Description
Oil Technician - 3rd Shift
Festida Foods is a local, family-owned manufacturer of tortilla chips and other similar snack foods for many major national retailers, nationally distributed brands, regional grocers, and food service providers.
Core Responsibilities:
Maintain Food Safety, Food Defense and cGMP practices at all times.
Ensure that all ingredient oil is received according to procedure in a sanitary manner and to the appropriate vessel.
Prepare use vessels appropriately and ensure oil transfers are conducted appropriately.
Monitor the oil in use via testing and determine appropriate course of action such as filtering, refreshing, etc.
Dispose of waste ingredient oil promptly and according to procedure.
Clean and maintain the oil system components at designated frequency to ensure food safety and quality.
