We are seeking a Plant Manager in Manufacturing to join our team!

Job Summary

 We are a dedicated in providing our customers with quality service, distribution, and manufacturing. We are currently looking for a Production Manager. Under the direction of the Director of Operations, will oversee plant production, safety, quality and cost control; direct workforce in a safe environment, maintaining accident-free work record while producing a quality product with high levels of efficiency. We are located in Lancaster, California

Essential Job Functions

  • Reviews production orders and schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, (weights) and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates to plan department operations.
  • Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
  • Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets both USDA/HACCP and Customer specifications.
  • Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. 
  • Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
  • Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with all USDA/HACCP standards and those required by Customers.
  • Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data through computer data entry. Maintains Yield Tests and production staff hours for Cost Analysis. Must maintain and report this data timely to the Controller of the company.
  • Maintains inventory of necessary shop and production supplies by interfacing with Inventory/Receiving through an inventory requisition request form.
  • Lead people in safety, food safety, quality, customer service and cost efficiencies in the plant.
  • Direct, coach and develop the production supervisors/line leads in the execution of their responsibilities.
  • Interpret company policy for hourly employees.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned

Qualifications/Skills

  • Minimum 10 Years “Hands On” Managing experience manufacturing and skills processing knowledge is necessary.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food safety and general plant safety practices and procedures.
  • Computer literacy in word processing and spreadsheet programs is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is a plus.
