Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally.  Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital.  We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.

Wholesale Commercial Real Estate (WCRE) operates throughout the United States, as well as Canada and the United Kingdom, to deliver a comprehensive platform of financing and banking products for experienced commercial real estate companies including balance sheet lending, CMBS origination and distribution, loan servicing, agency financing for multifamily properties, and debt and equity capital for affordable housing.

This Executive Assistant 2 will provide a high level of professional support and will manage a variety of administrative duties on behalf of the head of Wholesale Commercial Real Estate (WCRE).

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
• Handling phone calls and correspondence from customers, vendors and others and selectively referring callers
• Establishing and implementing office procedures and controls
• Handling the most sensitive customer issues
• Using word processing to compose complex and/or confidential correspondence
• Balancing general ledger lines and/or expense accounts and researching general ledger issues
• Assisting with budgetary planning
• Compiling statistical data for financial planning
• Providing support and facilitates larger projects managed by others and may manage less complex projects
• Acting as an information source on group and company policies
• May interact with shareholders, regulatory agents/representatives, media representatives, etc.
• May direct the work of others
• Acting as proxy for Staff Management and other systems.
• Scheduling internal & external meetings in person, via conference calls, or via video conferences.
• Booking and updating travel itineraries
• Overseeing special events or team functions

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements. 



Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of administrative support experience

  • Ability to handle confidential material in a professional manner
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills including analyzing complex data
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Experience supporting multiple managers with calendar management, travel arrangements, scheduling of meetings and events
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, LiveMeeting and SharePoint) skills
  • Experience writing and editing internal communications, including corporate and executive level communications



Other Desired Qualifications

• Experience supporting executives or performing functions commensurate with supporting executives
