The mission of Marketing is to build the best possible brand, experiences, and engagement with our customers and stakeholders that reflect our commitment to our customers and their needs and to driving key business and stakeholder outcomes.  In support of this mission, Marketing is responsible for developing integrated marketing strategies across Wells Fargo’s business lines and geographies; leading brand strategy; leveraging deep insights and analytics about consumers and businesses; executing customer messaging across all channels and touchpoints; and building out capabilities that move toward real-time, always-on, personalized and compelling messaging and digital experiences.

This Analytic Consultant 5 position will be a key member of the Marketing Measurement team within Marketing Insights and Analytics with responsibilities for direct channel and digital campaign opportunity assessments, forecasting, test design and post-campaign analysis. The team brings accountability to the Marketing organization by empirically estimating the incremental contributions of Marketing to the business and the performance of each campaign and marketing initiative. Its charter also includes providing guidance to the organization regarding the optimal levels of program investments and allocations across businesses, marketing channels, sales channels, audiences and time to achieve forecast sales goals.

To that end, the team is charged with applying a wide range of measurement tools including Test/Control, Marketing Mix Modeling, Multi-touch Attribution, Optimization tools, and Digital Analytics Tools that provide Marketing performance measurements and future investment optimizations for Consumer Deposits marketing. All while reducing risk and driving operational efficiencies. This role will work closely with marketing leaders in the execution of business priorities and specific marketing needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Lead Marketing Measurement, optimization and targeting strategy efforts for Consumer Deposit campaigns across digital and offline channels
  • Provide analytical support in the following forms of reporting and insights: pre-campaign opportunity assessments, campaign forecasting, campaign performance deep dives for optimization opportunities, end of campaign assessments and recommendations, and ad-hoc reporting/analysis as needed.
  • Develop Design of Experiment plans for tests and align back-end Wells Fargo database analyses to measure incremental performance
  • Provide SQL, Teradata, and SAS expertise to aggregate, measure, and analyze customer data for targeting and performance measurement
  • Apply a wide range of Measurement tools including Test/Control, Marketing Mix Modeling, Optimization Tools, Multi-touch Attribution, Digital Analytics, Continuous and Limited-dependent Regression Analysis, Logistic Regression, as well as Experimental Design to the better 
  • Partner with the internal channel owners and Line of Business partners to understand and conceptualize their marketing measurement needs, across Direct to Consumer, Paid and Owned channels, providing close-looped solutions
  • Exhibit cross-channel thought leadership
  • Apply a wide range of measurement methodologies such as Test vs. Control, Matched Markets, Marketing Mix Modeling, Multi-touch attribution, to understand incremental impact of marketing communications and articulate  in a simple and intuitive way for business partners
  • Work with Finance to develop NPV and ROI analyses based on segmentation
  • Deliver comprehensive learnings and recommendations to business partners and marketing leadership


Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling
  • 5+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools
  • 3+ years of campaign measurement or digital marketing experience
  • 3+ years of experience with digital marketing analytics, including analyzing cookie-level data
  • 3+ years of experience with storytelling across social media, internal and digital channels

  • Knowledge and understanding of marketing in the financial services industry
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
  • Teradata experience
  • Tableau experience



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in measurement of incremental impact of marketing programs
  • Experience with digital tagging and tracking
  • Test Design experience in terms of market to market, statistically significant sizing, and post campaign analysis
  • Experience in web analytics and customer pathing through the digital sales funnel
  • Intermediate/advanced knowledge of digital marketing landscape including Paid Search, Paid Display, Paid Social, Programmatic buying, etc.
  • Experience with 3rd party vendors and digital marketing practices
  • Exposure to marketing mix and attribution modeling
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively and learn quickly in a rapidly changing environment and function efficiently under short deadlines




Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
