The highlights:
This position is responsible for analyzing complex business operations and recommending solutions to align individual business functions with organizational goals. This role requires a thorough understanding of the structure, policies and operations of an organization, and recommends solutions to improve general business processes and planning. Working with the business unit(s) supported, this position will then translate user needs into detailed specifications to allow the Information Technology Department to deliver an appropriate solution. This role designs sales processes that drive efficiencies within the business unit(s) supported. This position can collaborate with one or several business units or functions.

What you will do:
  • Work with business stakeholders to analyze business operations and recommend solutions to align individual business functions with organizational goals
  • Understand the structure, policies and operations of an organization, and recommend solutions to improve general business processes and planning
  • Assist in business process redesign and documentation as needed.
  • Translate high-level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and/or vendors. Manage changes to such specifications.
  • Compile, analyze, interpret and present complex data related to current and future operations
  • Create reports, charts, graphs and presentations to aid in proposing new strategies for successful business changes
  • Develop project estimates by identifying phases and elements, personnel requirements and costs
  • Analyze external market dynamics and other data sources to assess trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations to management, via an understanding of the business model and the information available for analysis
  • Make recommendations for solutions or improvements that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology
  • Identify and prioritize training needs for the organization in order to ensure the successful introduction of new technology, business processes, capabilities or strategies
  • Develop test plans and coordinate solution testing
  • Perform additional duties related to this position as assigned
Required keys for success:
  • Five or more years of business analysis or related experience
  • Three years of project management experience
  • Five or more years of telecommunications experience
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative and dynamic team environment
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Ability to quickly identify business issues and opportunities
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to document, prepare and present data-driven presentations
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership capabilities
  • Superb knowledge of software applications such as Word, Excel, etc.
