JOB SUMMARY
This is a supervisory position responsible for providing analysis, research and advice on Wireless and VoIP regulatory issues. This position is expected to supervise other regulatory subject-matter experts in support of Charter’s business objectives. Prior experience with wireless state and federal legislation and regulations are essential.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

Review and provide comments on state and federal voice legislation and regulations, prior to and following enactment.

Manage compliance with state and federal wireless/VoIP regulations and legislation, including regulatory compliance reviews.

Responsible for working with in-house counsel to acquire and comply with federal and state wireless/VoIP requirements.

Work effectively with internal stakeholders to provide timely and accurate regulatory and compliance guidance.

Perform and coordinate regulatory research and analysis.

Supervise regulatory subject-matter experts.

Performs other duties as requested by supervisor.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English proficiently
Ability to communicate in a public forum and perform business negotiations
Ability to communicate orally and in writing, in a clear and straightforward manner, with all levels of organization
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to maintain relationships with state utility commission staff
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to efficiently use a personal computer and software applications (i.e., Microsoft Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook / SharePoint)
Knowledge of federal and state Wireless and VoIP regulations
Knowledge of wireless and Voice telecom products and services
Strong analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to perform research and synthesize for management

Education
Bachelor's Degree in business, political science, telecommunications or related field, or equivalent experience
Master’s Degree a plus

Related Work Experience Number of Years
Wireless/VoIP regulatory work experience 10+
Wireline work experience a plus
Supervisory experience of regulatory professionals 7+

Working Conditions
Office environment

Travel
Expected to be 10% or less
