Title:
Associate, Operational Risk
Primary Responsibilities:
Promote continuous improvement in the design and application of operational risk management activities by
Identifying, assessing and reporting progress on Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSA), including process mapping, identification and assessment of risk, identification of controls, and assessments of control design and effectiveness, identification of themes
Provides second line of defense risk oversight of the Operational risk program, including application of operational risk policies/standards, procedures, strategies, material risks, risk reporting routines and metrics
Active participation in loss event notification process and other risk activities including scenario analysis and assessing risk remediation activities
Reporting to governance committees
Help drive culture of risk awareness
Any other operational risk related tasks as needed
Qualifications:
5-9 years of experience in operational risk, audit, and/or regulatory compliance
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
Motivated self-starter with positive energy, integrity and high professional standards
Strong communication skills - able to express facts and ideas clearly both verbally and in writing, interacting professionally, transparently and effectively at all levels of the organization.
Detail oriented with the ability to understand high level strategy and impact
Strong critical thinking, analytical skills and professional skepticism
Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively as a member of the team
Ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and adapt to change
Specialized knowledge a plus: - Risk management knowledge: Risk Identification, Risk Assessment, Risk Treatment Measures including Risk Acceptance, Governance including Measuring, Monitoring/Reporting, Risk Aggregation, Control Assessments and Controls Testing
