Job Description

TrueBlue, the people company, has an open Business Auditor position in their corporate office in downtown Tacoma, WA. This role will participate in audits of the company’s business-related processes, including testing of systems and applications under the scope of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. This is a key role that will have high levels of interaction with business process owners.

This position is based in Tacoma, Washington, may require up to 15% domestic and 10% international travel, and reports directly to a Senior Business Auditor on the team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Test the effectiveness of the company’s key business controls and provide guidance on remediation of testing failures.
• Provide input on the design of business controls, execution and reporting of results.
• Plan and execute business process/application control reviews, including recommendations based upon changes and enhancements to relevant auditing standards
• Plan and execute business internal audits comprised of research, planning, engagement meeting, testing, exit meeting, report writing, and follow-up testing.
• Engage with the IT auditors to execute the business portion of IT-related operational audits.
• Consult with business process owners on an ad hoc basis to provide guidance on best practices.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Travel: May require up to 15% domestic and 10% international travel.

REQUIREMENTS

• BA/BS degree in accounting.
• Two to three (2 – 3) years of experience in accounting, auditing and/or process documentation.
• Relevant certifications (CPA, CIA) preferred.
• Familiarity with COSO 2013 and PCAOB auditing standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Secondary emphasis on Visio and Access.
• Data analytics is a plus.
• Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with a diverse employee population, including vendors and external auditors.
• Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with an interest in leadership opportunities.
• Strong risk management experience, including performing assessments and audits, working collaboratively with the business and IT process owners to design controls for new lines of business/acquisitions and/or providing input on remediation plans (as necessary).
• Superior project management skills.
• Strong analytical skills and a keen sense of professional skepticism.
