Basic Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 19 years old
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
  • Must possess one or more of the following - One (1) year of Security experience, Law Enforcement or Military experience, and/or three (3) years SeaWorld San Antonio park experience.
  • Certificate/degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a SEA driver’s license.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal skills
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and run in extreme weather conditions for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Must be able to obtain Security License from Texas Department of Public Safety Private Security Bureau
  • Must be willing to work as part of a team
  • Must be able to multitask while maintaining a positive attitude to ensure excellent guest service
  • Consistently practices safe work habits including, but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting and reporting of unsafe situations
  • Must be willing to comply with and ensure ambassadors comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards
  • Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Patrols park grounds on foot, bike, or by use of company vehicles for purpose of watching, guarding, and maintaining peace and order on SeaWorld property.
  • Controls access to company property; investigates and enforces security and vehicular regulations per company standards.
  • Maintains a high profile security presence to deter criminal activity and serve guests and employees.
  • Monitors all vehicles and employees entering and exiting the park according to company standards to ensure all are authorized.
  • Inspects bags and vehicles to prevent the introduction of contraband and/or the removal of company assets.
  • Investigates and records security related incidents.
  • Operates stations, maintains logs, issues keys, checks ID's, writes reports, and controls vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
  • Maintains cleanliness, quality, and safety of area.
  • Conducts monetary escorts.
  • Works as part of a team to increase productivity and while providing excellent guest service.
  • Provides excellent guest service to guests and employees.
  • Maintains a professional appearance that meets grooming standards.
  • Consistently practices safe work habits including but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting, driving and reporting unsafe situations.
NOTE - STATUS INFORMATION:

Seasonal ambassadors will be scheduled in accordance with the 2019 operating schedule which could include weekdays, weekends, evenings and holidays. Hours will vary based on business need and employment will not exceed 180 days (6 months). Please see available seasons below:
  • Spring + Summer Season: Seasonal ambassador must be available to begin work in late February/early March to end no earlier than Aug/Sept. Ideal candidates will be available to work spring break (March 9-24).
  • Summer Season: Seasonal ambassador must be available to begin work in May/June to end no earlier than Sept/Oct. Ideal candidates will be available to work until Oct 27.
