The Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation (PVSI) team includes Operations, Consumer Credit Card, Retail Services, Consumer Deposits, the Innovation Group, Treasury Management, Merchant Services, Marketing and Wells Fargo Virtual Channels and the professional services teams that partner with these businesses. PVSI's focus is on delivering the next generation of payments and deposit capabilities and advancing our digital and online offerings to design new customer experiences and products. The Payments, Virtual Solutions and Innovation Fraud and Claims Management (PVSI FCM) team partners with product, channel, risk and technology teams to develop and provide secure, reliable, scalable and customer friendly prevention, investigation and claims services that protect customers and Wells Fargo from fraud losses. The team reviews account activity and high-risk transactions to prevent victim and perpetrator fraud, processes check fraud and Automated Clearing House (ACH) claims, investigates and resolves customer disputes (fraud and non-fraud) on all transaction types and manages all Wells Fargo identity theft cases.

The Business Assurance/Error Resolution team within Fraud Claims Management is tasked with reviewing and testing processes and controls to identify and remediate potential gaps. 

This role will be a key player on the Error Resolution team and will be tasked with running projects, reviewing agency complaints and responses, preparing evidence templates, documentation and responses for auditors, partnering closely with Legal, Risk and Compliance as well as partnering with partner groups across FCM.  This person will aggressively look for gaps or risks in processes and partner with multiple complex business units to assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of procedures and controls to mitigate operational and regulatory risk that arises from inadequate or failed internal processes, people or systems.

The appropriate candidate will provide Regulation E and Regulation Z expertise and consulting for projects and initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance.  They will also consult with the business units to develop corrective action plans and effectively manage change.  This position will be required to report findings and develop business cases to influence change and the implementation of appropriate processes and controls.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning
  • 3+ years of risk and regulatory compliance experience
  • 10+ years of financial crimes experience
  • 3+ years of risk management and mitigation experience

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Subject Matter Expertise of Regulation E and/or Regulation Z

Prior experience effectively leading a team that is able to prioritize and execute multiple complex initiatives in a fast paced, matrixed environment
Deep understanding of risk framework, corporate/business policies and programs
Highly organized and proactive with demonstrated ability to assess, exercise independent judgment and apply prudent risk mitigation principles
