YOUR ROLE

As the primary pilot of our software product, the Insurance Application Specialist is the focal point of where technology meets the human touch at Bold Penguin. The Insurance Application Specialist is an expert for every business owner that comes through our platform. There are thousands of different kinds of businesses, all with different risks, and it is the core responsibility of this role to help each customer figure out how to categorize their business, guide them through our application process, and then use our technology to connect them with the best agent possible for them.  This is an entry-level opportunity for candidates looking to plant themselves within a company to learn, grow, and advance.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Field both inbound and outbound phone calls from small business owners from across the country
• Utilize our software to create the perfect match, every single time
• Consistently deliver excellent customer service
• Provide real-time reporting to our software developers and Account Managers
• Adapt to new processes and technologies as they are developed and deployed; provide feedback when necessary
• Contribute to a high energy, positive environment

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Hunger to learn and grow - willingness to ask questions, make suggestions, and develop connections
• Strong phone and organizational skills 
• Ability to multi-task and work within numerous computer applications at once
• Comfortable working with CRM tools, Google Apps, Microsoft Office
• A proactive approach to problem-solving
• Bonus points: experience in the commercial insurance industry
