Certified Surgical Technologist - LDRPN Unit 001 - Part-Time, Night - Kokomo-1907 W. Sycamore - Kokomo, IN
Shift Details: Part Time Nights (2/12 hour Shifts 7P - 7:30A). Every 3rd weekend responsibility + Holiday requirement. There are Full Time options as well.
Call Details: 30 Minute Call Response time but that is extremely flexible due to location and need of CST Associates.
Job Description/Preferences: CSTs in L&D may work in main Surgery at Kokomo as needed. CSTs work largely as PCTs in their down time; there aren't as many cases at night. These will be the first CSTs this Unit has had. Roughly 800 Deliveries a year, 8 Labor Beds, 12 Post Pardem Beds, 42 on Staff (6 PCTs, 36 RNs, & soon 3 CSTs).

What You Will Do
As a Certified Surgical Technologist with St. Vincent Health-IN, you will have the opportunity to facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and sterile solutions as well as appropriate sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
- Hands required/requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
- Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
- Maintains instruments in an organized manner and monitors/tracks instruments counts throughout procedures.
What You Will Need
Licenses/Certifications/Registration:- Required Credential(s):
- BLS Provider obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- One or more of the following:
- Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Diploma
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required
- None required.
