Position Title\: Oracle Data Warehouse Development Engineer
Hours\: Monday – Friday, 8\:00 am to 5\:00 pm
Summary of Duties\:
Work on development of sophisticated data warehouse solutions based on good understanding of overall system architecture and data flow and usage within GLOBALFOUNDRIES. Work on Oracle Database design and development, including logical and physical schema design. Work on Oracle Database application performance tuning and optimization. Define architecture and design approaches to address customer requirements. Work on Oracle Data Warehouse ETL application development, using ETL tools such as Ab Initio and programming/scripting languages including Java, C, and Perl. Manage requirements backlog, including bug fixes. Provide and verify effort estimates on proposed solutions and manage a release roadmap. Oversee implementation work done by the external partner. Assure creation and maintenance of required documentation, including design specifications for fixed price projects and architectural diagrams.
Qualification:
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant field of study, and eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or as a Technology Specialist, Software Engineer, Project Lead, Associate, or related occupation. Requires experience with data warehouse architecture approaches and trends, including experience with Dimensional Modeling and ERD design approaches. Requires experience with Oracle Application development, including physical and logical table design, performance tuning, and optimization. Requires experience with oracle 11g and 12c features. Requires experience with large, complex database projects in environments producing high-volume data. Requires experience in SQL and PL/SQL. Requires experience in preparing data warehouse design artifacts based on given requirements (ETL framework design, data modeling, source-target-mapping). Requires experience with SDLC concepts and processes. Requires experience in Java, Abinitio, ETL, Logic, Cloud technologies, and semiconductor manufacturing. Requires project management experience.
