Assistant Store Manager 

Amorino is a high-end Gelateria and dessert café specializing in premium Italian gelato, coffees and fine desserts. Job Responsibilities:

This role manages the overall store operations, driving financial success and building a great team. Specific responsibilities includes the following but not limited to:

  • Manages a staff of 15+ team members. Recruits, trains, coaches and guides team members in a continuous effort to achieve Amorino operational excellence
  • Maintain a robust weekly inventory of dry and frozen goods
  • Must be hands on in the store and lead by example as an inspiration and model for outstanding customer service and overall standards including scooping and making handcrafted gelato
  • Ensures staff strictly adheres to all Amorino policies and procedures including completing all traceability reports, equipment cleaning records, store cleaning records, freezer temperature sheets, proper batch labeling of all food products, etc.
  • Ensures that the team maintains clean and organized customer and storage areas and follows all receiving procedures.
  • Good analytical business thought processes and problem-solving skills.
  • Manages the cleanliness of the facility to exceed Department of Health standards
  • Takes the necessary steps to ensure that all equipment functions properly
  • Manages the team’s appearance, performance and speed.
  • Manages all shifts to ensure the lowest possible wait times on the line for ordering and serving gelato
  • Manages and ensures that all cash handling, and reconciliations are followed.
  • Works days, nights, and weekends as required.
  • Ensures all customers receive extraordinary experience in the store
  • Carries out monthly store audits of all systems and procedures for +95% accuracy and completeness
  • Completes daily paperwork as well as bank deposits
  • Creates weekly schedules of all employees. Optimize efficiency and utilization with limited OT

Requirements:
 

  • 2 years retail / customer service or franchise management experience.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Must have basic math skills
  • Entrepreneurial mentality with experience in a sales focused environment
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to coach and mentor team with professional maturity
  • Minimum High School or GED
  • Ability to work full time (the work regularly demands in excess of 40 hours per week) including variable hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and/ or holidays
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background and drug test.
