Level One Trauma Facility located in Temple, Texas    

Full time- 36 hours/Week -  

 

We are currently seeking full-time experienced Critical Care nurses to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Temple.  We are a 630-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.

We are looking for RNs to work in one of our Critical Care Units (CCU) or Intensive Care Units (ICU). 

The Registered Nurse (RN) exhibits and executes Baylor Scott & White Health�s (BSWH) Values & Behaviors in delivering and coordinating patient care. Utilizing the BSWH nursing professional practice model, the RN is a licensed professional who is responsible for using clinical reasoning, developing, implementing and evaluating the nursing plan of care, managing both emotional and physical patients, assessing patient and family level of understanding to provide effective communication and education, working collaboratively with medical staff and providing quality care in a compassionate and professional manner. 

 

Our Critical Care Unit (CCU) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) RNs work around the clock to deliver the best care to our most critically ill patients and their families.  Patients in the CCU/ICU require constant care and monitoring by medical staff.  Our CCU/ICU RNs must be trained and educated to work with a wide variety of patient diagnoses and must be able to cope with the emotional aspect of working with these types of patients.

 

Ideal prospective CCU/ICU candidates must be able to work successfully in a fast paced environment, utilize quick critical thinking skills, act as a strong patient advocate and have at least 6 months of critical care experience.

 

10 K sign on for new associates having a BSN and 2 Years RN experience in Level I  or II Critical Care ICU

�  Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required

�  RN license required

�  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

1 Year of RN experience required


Note: If you have less than 6 months of experience, we recommend that you apply to our nursing internship program.  Internships are available for new graduates and experienced nurses in a variety of specialties.  New classes begin in January, June and September.
