Home Instead Senior Care, an in-home care company for seniors in Queens, NY, is seeking a Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator to recruit, train, and staff the best CAREGivers in the industry.

We are looking for a mature, personable and energetic person to join our team. This important full time position will support our Client Care,  Marketing and Scheduler with calls, record keeping and system management. In addition to general office duties, the responsibilities of this position will include recruiting, screening, hiring, training and retaining CAREGivers.

This requires a creative and critical thinker who is extremely organized and detail oriented and can provide results while under pressure.

Job Requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • 2 years of Home Care office  experience required.
  • Plan and successfully execute quarterly CAREGiver meetings.
  • Prepare and publish the monthly newsletter within the deadline.
  • Team player who is also able to work and prioritize tasks independently.
  • Organized, detail oriented, demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively.
  • Schedule and conduct interviews with prospective CAREGivers in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Conduct character reference checks, background and drug screening.
  • Conduct CAREGiver Orientation and additional training programs.
  • Excellent phone and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and common sense resolution to daily challenges and opportunities.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve independently.
  • Clear grasp of MS Office programs in an office setting and maintaining client and CAREGiver folders and databases.
  • Answer phones after hours and weekends on a rotating basis.
  • Communicate continually with the owner about client and CAREGivers concerns or problems.
  • Quality Assurance visits.
