The Accounting Manager will beresponsible for managing theaccounting department. This role also serves as a consultant for managerswithin the organization, advising them of current budgetary information andworking with managers to create a fiscal strategy that aligns with the goals ofthe organization. The manager is accountable for the efficiency, accuracy andproductivity of all assigned task and projects.

The AccountingManager is the go to person when the team has a question for guidance. TheAccounting Manager should be able to perform every position within the team[AP, AR, General Cashier, Payroll, Income Audit]. The Accounting Manager shouldbe able to assist at month end with journal entries and should assist the ADOFand DOF in meeting the deadlines. The knowledge of all financial systems andExcel is a must.

Dutiesinclude:
  • Audit the work of the accounting department
  • Engage in critical and confidential aspects of accounting.
  • Responsible for supervising the accounting procedures of the company.
  • Responsible for the development of systems, financial studies, etc. of major importance.
  • Advise management on matters of fiscal procedure and importance for the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with the financial procedures of the organization
  • Works with confidential data, which, if disclosed, might have significant internal effect or minor external effect.
SupervisoryResponsibility

The AccountingManager manages all staff accountants in the department.

  • Minimum 2 yearswork experience as Assistant Manager or Senior Accountant in larger operation
  • Understanding of hotelaccounting processes including AP, AR, GL, and cash
  • Understanding of Frontoffice accounting processes including PMS, POS, Guest Ledger, and Audit
  • Understanding ofAccounting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Internal Control BestPractices
  • Strong analyticalabilities
  • An intermediate abilityto use standard software applications and hotel systems
  • Strong skills in problemsolving, and organization
  • Knowledge of overallhotel operations as they affect the accounting department
  • Understanding ofpurchasing and inventory controls
