District Sales Manager

 

We are seeking a hands-on District Sales Manager to support in-store, consumer electronics programs. In this key leadership role, the District Sales Manager is responsible for sales, training and management. You will train the sales team both formally and informally in areas of store relationship building, product knowledge, and assisted selling skills. The ideal candidate has excellent presentation skills and experience in retail management.

What You’ll Do:

  • Driving demonstration events within your district through execution and effective results management
  • Management of all designated part time representatives in your assigned district
  • Analyze data and develop appropriate plans to drive merchandising execution in retail accounts
  • Communicate with sales team within assigned district to address sales issues/discrepancies, determine the appropriate mode of communicating depending on the nature of the issue
  • Actively manage flawless event execution through a combination of proactive hiring, training, scheduling, supervision and in-store oversight
  • Regularly conduct training sessions with the sales team to discuss strategies for assisted sales and ongoing improvement
  • Delivery of product training content, from personal settings to large group presentations

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Sales and/or Public Relations preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in retail management; experience with hiring, managing part-time employees, demonstration or event marketing, results reporting, inventory, merchandising and training
  • Ability to direct, lead, coach, and develop people
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to drive measurable, sustainable results
