This is an Application Engineering/Support role within Wealth, Investment Management & Capital Markets Technology Platform Management, supporting Wealth and Trust Technology, a part of the Wealth Investment Management Technology division within EIT. The candidate will be responsible for implementing lifecycle tech refresh and implementations for Wealth and Trust applciations. Candidate will act individually and within a team to providing application engineering and support, system maintenance, application deployment, and design guidance and consultation utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs. Participates in systems implementation, validation and the migration of platforms and applications to production. Develops new or maintains existing documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides. Works within a team and often independently across projects, allocates and partners effectively with team resources and may coordinate task oversight of small to medium sized projects. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan.

Successful candidates must have outstanding design, implementation, and troubleshooting skills in deploying, supporting, installing and configuring multi-tier, enterprise applications that can be applied to all levels of a heterogeneous technology ecosystem (primarily Unix/Linux, Weblogic or comparable middleware, with some Windows/.Net and IIS web server products experience desirable, some Open Source interactions). A record of problem-solving and crafting application design efficiencies that leverage both open source and vendor resources is desirable. Applicants must demonstrate a passion for using automation to improve their own and others’ effectiveness. Knowledge of one or more scripting languages is beneficial. Experience and expertise with production incident management with multiple stakeholders a high preference. Excellent communication skills are necessary and effective cross-team collaboration and documentation skills a desirable premium.

Applicants must have production application design/support experience in a 24x7 environment. Capability to self-start and drive initiatives with little to no oversight, and document and engage with a globally distributed team. This position will offer the ability for additional scaling and integration to a standardized support, deployment, and engineering teams looking for another great team member addition!



Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 7+ years of system engineering experience

  • Must be self-motived to identify risks, seek resolution to issues, and has the ability to learn new things quickly
  • Experience with installing, supporting, and configuring custom written and vendor applications
  • Know how to identify (or at least research) what middleware and application vulnerability impacts, how the remediation steps for the vulnerability works, and help our application teams identify the impacts to the applications
  • Need strong leadership, architecture and working across multi-functional team experience
  • Application deployment method or source code repository experience required specifically Anthill, Puppet, and Subversion would be a plus
