About this job

Aerotek is currently seeking a Systems Engineer! The ideal candidate is a problem solver who is always learning; has demonstrated attention to detail and flexibility; can work well individually; works well with others; and is willing to become an expert in areas of PTC and railroading. The job includes mostly office work and may include occasional travel opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain requirements, designs, and test cases for complex systems with many components.
* Create and maintain user or program documentation for complex systems.
* Maintain traceability within project or program documentation.
* Derive and maintain traceability among industry standards, customer requirements, and vendor documentation.
* Review and evaluate internal, vendor, and subcontractor documentation, and provide appropriate feedback.
* Design, execute, and oversee system testing.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in designing new systems
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate as part of a team
  • Proficiency or experience with UML modeling tools a plus
  • Programming or scripting skills a plus
