About this job

The Baylor Scott & White Health Supplement Staff Nurse coordinates and provides nursing care including the assessment, education, counseling and treatment of patients and delegating nursing care to others as appropriate. Works cooperatively with ancillary nursing staff and other patient team personnel and maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

Our Supplemental Staff Nurse assists in development and implementation of new programs, department specific policies and procedures and long range plans to meet department objectives. In addition, the Supplemental Staff Nurse directs and coordinates nursing care, establishes priorities and delegates nursing activities according to patient needs and staff's capabilities and qualifications.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to work in a fast paced environment.



�  Must be a graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing

�  A minimum of 2 years hospital experience preferred

2 Years of ICU experience required

�  Must be able to work in 2 or more specialty areas except for float staff working in the Med/Surg and Critical Care areas

�  Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) required and Advanced Certifications (as required by unit)

�  Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas
