Summary:
The Natural Nail Technician is responsible for client satisfaction by providing competent and professional service and care in all forms of natural nail services (no acrylics) available at acac. He or she is also required to support and promote spa products and merchandise to acac members and guests. Candidates must be available to work weekends.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • ​ Arrives to work in a timely manner to be prepared for all appointments and to ensure that work areas are in good order and are neat and tidy
  • Greets guests in a professional and courteous manner
  • Gathers complete and accurate information on new spa patrons using the Spa waivers and forms
  • Keeps comprehensive notes of services and treatments performed in a member folder, which is filed and stored only in the Spa filing system
  • Performs all nail services currently offered at the Spa, which includes, but is not limited to removing previously applied nail polish (both lacquer and shellac/gel); cutting, shaping, and smoothing nails; softening nail cuticles; assessing condition of clients’ skin; removing dead skin from hands/feet and providing massage; and advising clients on nail care and use of products
  • Restocks and dispenses supplies and towels as needed or directed by the Spa Manager
  • Provides information about services and products to members and guests
  • Consistently reviews and updates knowledge of Spa services, products, and offerings
  • Ensures that treatment rooms and work spaces are clean and neat at all times, performing proper clean up and restocking at the end of each service
  • Follows all current sanitation standards for service implements
  • Supports and promotes spa products and merchandise
  • As needed or requested, helps the receptionist
  • Ensures ongoing familiarity with acac programs to manage questions and communicate knowledgeably to acac members and guests

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs the Essential Functions and Responsibilities as described (other duties may be assigned)
  • If unable to work, proactively seeks substitutes for shifts and immediately informs supervisor of the substitution
  • Wears proper uniform at all times while at work and always presents the acac brand and standard anytime and anywhere the acac uniform is worn
  • Attends departmental meetings and any other meetings as requested
  • If not already certified, attends CPR and First Aid training provided by acac and maintains current CPR/FA certification for the duration of employment
  • Attends New Hire Launch within 30 days of employment
  • Checks acac email daily
  • Ensures that time worked does not exceed 40 hours during the pay week (Sunday-Saturday); any overtime worked must be pre-approved by the supervisor
  • Reads, signs, and abides by the policies included in the Team Member Handbook
  • Parks in team member designated areas
  • Club cleanliness is an all-team responsibility; helps whenever necessary in any area of the club to keep club neat and clean
  • Helps with Service Day
  • Helps with acac programs, special events, or activities outside department
  • When supervisor or team members call or email, promptly returns contact
  • Exhibits a positive attitude at all times and upholds acac’s values of teamwork, customer service, and engagement

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have valid Nail License
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience working as a Nail Technician preferred
  • Prior customer service experience highly desired
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly dependable and prompt
  • Willing to help both within and outside of the parameters of this position
  • Must be available to work during the hours outlined in the Job Description
  • Able to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications a plus
  • Willing to and take the initiative to learn about acac programs and events
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, and bend for the duration of a shift
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
