About this job

Job Description:

  • Ensures compliance with all safety requirements in accordance with hospital risk management and safety policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to policies and procedures of the department.
  • Ensures patients are prepared for medical caregiver examination/visit and assists provider with procedures and tests as needed.
  • Maintains the continuity of patient care including but not limited to medication refills, lab result follow-ups, referrals to specialists, patient callbacks, and appointment confirmation calls.

Job Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of medical assistant experience preferred.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or equivalent training/experience required.
  • Must have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required.

Work Environment:

  • Clinic Setting
  • Monday-Friday
  • Day Shift
