Custodial - Full-time

Custodial - Kalamazoo, MI - 1st Shift

Provide general commercial cleaning and detail cleaning for office space, restrooms, kitchens, cafeterias, laboratories, locker rooms, lobbies, hallways, stairs and other common areas. Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team using established procedures and tools.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS• Vacuum, sweep, dust, mop floors. Clean restrooms sinks, showers, kitchenette, microwave• Performs other duties as assigned by manager as this reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign shift times, duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to changing company needs or other reasons with reasonable notice.• Emptying trash, paper shredders and breakdown boxes for recycling.
• May be exposed to unsanitary conditions, unpleasant odors, and biohazard substances.• Follow PPE safety protocols at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma• 6 months preferred custodial experience. Minimum 1 year at previous job.• Reliable• Has own transportation or way to get to work every day. Farm employee must have be own transportation.• Good driving record• Excellent customer service/communication skills.• Work with minimal supervision• Must be able to multi task

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to stand and/or walk 8 hours per day.• Repetitive reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling.• Constant gripping and grasping• Occasionally lifting, up to 15 pounds• Pushing and/or pulling up to 15 lbs.• Must be able to safely work with chemical agents.
