Cassandra Specialist (Data Engineering Senior Manager)
The Digital Data Engineering and Excellence team is a highly collaborative and passionate group. We are seeking a hands-on Cassandra Specialist who can operate with our digital engineering teams towards building ground-breaking capabilities and transformative customer experiences.

The Job and Expectations:
• Management - Install, configure, monitor, and manage DataStax CassandraCluster, DevCenter, and OpsCenter, to include data backup/restore, node management, multiple data center setup, and multiple region setup.
• Performance Tuning - Build Cassandra architecture and read/write operations, including SSTables, MemTables, ComitLogs, and Consistency Levels.
• Operations - Manage operations using Hive, HDP, Hbase, Pig, Sqoop, Impala, Oozie, Zookeeper, MapReduce, Spark, Scala, Python, and Java.
• Data Modeling - Model structured and unstructured data with emphasis on Cassandra Data Models and usage of user-defined type.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or military experience
• At least 5 years of experience in Cassandra
Preferred Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in database technologies: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Mongo
• Certification in Cassandra
• Certification in AWS
