Production Operator in Penn Yan, NY

Job Description

Kelly Services has partnered with a leading global supplier of technology-based functional coatings for ceramic, metal and glass products. We are currently looking for production operators for the Penn Yan, NY area. This is temp-to-hire position with a 42 hour work week. This is a company where you can plant roots and retire from!
NOTE: Starting wage is $15.00/hour, BUT will increase to over $16.00/hour when hired on after 6 months (approximate). By the end of year 2, qualified employees will be making more than $23.00 per hour.

Essential Responsibilities:
* Operate the following equipment: Kilns, Jet Mills, Blender, Mixer, Dryers, Forklift, Screening equipment, Palletizer, etc.
* Ensure compliance with all safety rules and proper use of PPE
* Adhere to company policies and procedures
* Adhere to core values and behaviors
* Follow standard operator procedures

Applicants should be open to working any of the 4 shifts listed below. Assignments will depend on business needs. Training will take place on a day shift for several months. After training, you will be moved to an overnight shift.
A shift / $15.00 per hour * Sun, Mon, Tues: 7:30am-7:30pm, Wed: 7:30am-1:30pm
B shift / $15.75 per hour * Sun, Mon, Tues: 7:30pm-7:30am, Wed: 7:30pm-1:30am
C shift / $15.00 per hour * Wed: 1:30pm-7:30pm, Thurs, Fri, Sat: 7:30am-7:30pm
D shift / $15.75 per hour * Wed: 1:30am-7:30am, Thurs, Fri, Sat: 7:30pm-7:30am
