Rate: DOE Hourly W2 $15-18/hr
Shifts: 1st and 2nd
Plans, conducts, and analyzes development and verification testing (physical and analytical) with reference to targets and requirements.
Typical Duties & Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates awareness of the failures caused by setup or facility issues.
- Demonstrates awareness of the vehicle, system, subsystem, and component level requirements to be tested.
- Conduct standard test procedures and methods. Understands acceptance criteria and linkage to requirements.
- Ability to use test tools and equipment properly and to construct effective test setups.
- Conducts and monitors standard tests and assists experienced tech/technologists to run complex tests.
- Helps diagnose test problems.
- Uses/modifies simple test fixtures.
- Calibrates instruments with some help and build simple instrumentation setups.
- Ensures that all required data is collected and reported in an appropriate format.
Desired Skills:
- Basic Automotive/Engine knowledge
- Basic computer operations including Microsoft Office, file system maintenance, and data acquisition.
- Basic mechanical & fabrication skills
- Ability to work with others and take directions
Desired Education/Experience:
- 2 year Automotive Technology Associates Degree or equivalent experience
- Test Technician Level 2

Shifts: 1st and 2nd
Plans, conducts, and analyzes development and verification testing (physical and analytical) with reference to targets and requirements.
Typical Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conducts complex tests and monitors data to make sure tests are valid.
- Understands the vehicle, system, subsystem or component level parts to apply appropriate test method, equipment and instrumentation to insure valid test results.
- Understands test procedures and prepares complex tests including instrumentation and data acquisition with some help.
- Communicates test results using simple analysis methods and presentation formats effectively.
- Uses processes/equipment to prevent failures caused by setup or facility issues.
- Identifies and diagnoses test problems and takes lead to resolve issues.
- Fabricates/modifies test fixtures.
- Improves accuracy and efficiency through an understanding of the benefits and limitations of alternative test equipment and setups
- Assists in the development of procedures to properly perform routine quality checks

Plans, conducts, and analyzes development and verification testing (physical and analytical) with reference to targets and requirements.
Typical Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepares and conducts complex tests including instrumentation & data acquisition. Helps others as needed to setup these tests.
- Understands the customer usage of vehicle, system, subsystem or component to realize when current test method or requirement may be inadequate.
- Assists to improve test correlation to customer usage.
- Works with engineers to create test plans that validate design requirements (DVM's) or specifications (SDS's).
- Develops test procedures and tools when current methods fall short of validating a part, subsystem or system.
- Develops processes, equipment and instrumentation to prevent failures caused by setup or facility issues.
- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of test systems to diagnose and fix test problems with test facilities or instrumentation. Teaches lessons learned to others.
- Helps design new test fixtures.
- Understands basic statistical methods.
- Drives for more accurate, effective and efficient test tools, instrumentation and equipment. Trains others to use them and consults in the analysis of test results.
