POSITION PURPOSE:
The Fresh Cut Supervisor is first and foremost responsible for customer relations and satisfaction. Assist in creating an environment of food exploration, innovation and dedication for customers and employees. They participate in the hiring, training and coaching of Fresh Cut Department employees to provide world-class customer care. They use equipment safely and ensure that company and departmental policies and procedures are adhered to, as well as, meet any state/federal law and labor compliance. They will perform all fresh cut fruit and vegetable cutting, processing, sanitation, food safety and stocking procedures on all produce items as outlined by the company and directed by the Produce Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Create a culture of food exploration, innovation and education for customers and employees.
* Prepares fresh fruit and vegetables and salads for the Cut Fruit area.
* Ensures quality, freshness, selection and adequate quantity to meet customer demand.
* Sets up, maintains and closes the Cut Fruit room according to company procedures.
* Prevents shrink, damage and spoilage of product.
* Ensures proper pricing and signing of products.
* Enforces and maintains cleanliness of work area, storage area and selling floor. Maintains the eye-appeal of the department.
* Ensures a safe and secure work environment.
* Enforces set standard and safe food preparations and handling ensuring compliance with company food safety policy.
* Performs other duties as requested or required by upper management.

PEOPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct: Fresh Cut Clerks

SCOPE DATA:
* Single store responsibility
* Varying types of areas urban vs rural within one Division
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Education Level:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Food Safety Certification required.
Experience Level:
* Must be 18 years or older.
* Produce experience preferred
Skills and Experiences:
* Ability to work at fast-paced, but efficient and controlled manner.
* Ability to work and communicate successfully with all levels of store support management and subordinates.
* Ability to plan and organize the activities of others.
* Knowledge of the principles and techniques of supervision.
* Must possess leadership skills, maturity, technical skills, and a proven operations track record.
* Knowledge of quality fresh cut products and outstanding customer service is essential.
* Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude.
* Some experience in ordering, inventory maintenance and shrink control.
* Maintain sanitation standards throughout the work area.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including opening, closing and weekend and holiday shifts.
* Ability to demonstrate personal initiative and exceptional customer service.
* Computer skills: Microsoft Office Software
* Ability to function as a team member and get along with others.

* TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
* Must be able to work extended hours and varying work schedule as dictated by the business.
* Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs. and stand for long periods of time (up to 4 hours).
* Perform all other physical aspects of the job including bending, squatting, lifting, climbing, and walking.
* Must be able to safely maneuver around moving mechanical parts.
* Must be able to work in a retail store environment.
* Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday.
