Armed Security Officer

SOS Security has immediate Full Time/Part Time job openings for Armed Security Officers in Leesburg, VA.

Please note, SOS Security employees use their own firearms for armed positions. If needed, VA residents may take advantage of our weapon purchase program.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct interior and exterior foot patrols
• Patrol 50 minutes per hour for up to a 10 hour shift
• Monitor lobby area for safety violations
• First Responder for all emergencies
• Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers
• Monitor occupancy of lobby area
• Observe and report daily activities
• Report immediate facility concerns to the client
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Authorized to work in the United States
• At least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• VA DCJS armed registration with a valid firearms endorsement
• Prior Military experience - Must have DD214 or Minimum of 2 years Armed experience (with certification) at a Corrections or Law Enforcement agency, and be eligible for rehire or retired in good standing
• Pass physical fitness test and maintain physical requirements
• Pass English communication, and behavioral analysis screens
• Smoking while on duty is prohibited
• Interpersonal and English communication skills

• Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers.
• Must be able to pass background check
• Must be able to pass drug screening
