The Personal Counseling Office at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, is currently looking to hire a part time Administrative Assistant starting in October, 2019. This position will work alongside the full time Administrative Assistant to perform the following tasks: screening appointments (including walk-ins), phone calls and email requests for the Director, professional counselors, case manager and outreach coordinator. This includes determining the urgency in which students must be seen while following FERPA (Family Education and Privacy Rights) guidelines at all times. In addition, responsibilities include scheduling student appointments for the consulting psychiatrist on a bi-weekly basis including reminder emails and/or text messages to students, and consultation with the psychiatrist in the event of medication changes or insurance issues. This role will begin at 15 hours per week with potential to increase to 20 hours per week beginning with the Spring 2020 semester. Applicants must have a minimum of one year of experience in an administrative capacity. Knowledge of electronic medical records (Titanium) is preferred; experience with FERPA guidelines also desired.
