Job Description: Dock Worker / Shipping and Receiving:
This job consists of shipping/receiving products in a warehouse setting, keeping inventory, and assuring that products are shipped and distributed out of warehouse with correct quantity and quality. Must understand and follow the prescribed rules for shipping/receiving various products. Accurate record keeping, computer use, basic math, and other job duties may be included.

Job Description: Dock Worker / Shipping and Receiving:
This job consists of shipping/receiving products in a warehouse setting, keeping inventory, and assuring that products are shipped and distributed out of warehouse with correct quantity and quality. Must understand and follow the prescribed rules for shipping/receiving various products. Accurate record keeping, computer use, basic math, and other job duties may be included.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
- Prepare and Complete orders for delivery and pick-up according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
- Able to legibly fill out the required paperwork when receiving and shipping materials
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
- Safely operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Must maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards to meet all USDA requirements
- On a daily basis, before each shift, it is required to do both a physical and a visual inspection on all powered trucks used during that shift
- Required to load and unload various trucks and trailers and must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Work with QA Technicians to ensure that all loads comply with the customers’ requirements and USDA standards.
- Accurately monitor storage temperature, storage locations and storage cleanliness for compliance
- Insure all products are properly wrapped and tied to minimize damage during shipping
- Report any identified discrepancies to the maintenance supervisor and confirm corrective action is completed.
- Keep dock area clean and clear of debris at all times
- Must be willing to submit to thorough background check and drug screen
- Long hair must be tied back, no loose clothing, and no jewelry is allowed
