Description
Campus Recreation, a department within Student Affairs is seeking Facility Attendants for Stone Valley Recreation Area. Stone Valley Recreation Area is 17 miles from the University Park Campus, nestled within the 7,000-acre Stone Valley Forest. If you find yourself craving the great outdoors and enjoy taking on new adventures, we may have the job for you. Additional positions available at Stone Valley Recreation Area include Boating Attendants, Customer Service Representatives, Facility Supervisors, Grounds/Maintenance Workers, and Lead Boating Attendants. A Facility Attendant acts as a main point of contact during operational hours; Enforces Campus Recreation policies and procedures, as well as becoming familiar with Fish and Boat Commission, and Game Commission regulations; Performs facility checks and counts; Spot cleans rental facilities (cabins lodges, pavilions, etc.) and attends bi-monthly staff meetings which will mostly occur on campus. Facility Attendants must possess the ability to accommodate last minute changes/requests to accommodate rental patrons and have excellent interpersonal skills. CPR/First Aid/AED certification required or ability to obtain within one month of hire. Classes are offered through Campus Recreation on a regular basis. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation. Must have access to a reliable form of transportation. Positions are mostly seasonal in nature with the primary hours available from mid-March through mid-November. Hiring preference will be given to Penn State University students and we build your work schedule around your class schedule.
