Description:

The Home Care Consultant (HCC) is our professional sales role within Home Instead, focused on generating client referrals by visiting hospitals, physicians, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospice agencies, etc. In addition, the HCC follows the referral from inquiry to the sales consult where they meet with clients and their families to discuss their needs and provide solutions. The HCC reports directly to the General Manager and works closely with all team members. As the face of Home Instead in the community, the HCC must demonstrate our core value, Love (v.), in all interactions by being: patient, kind, humble, selfless, respectful, forgiving, honest and committed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with community senior care professionals (referral providers) to generate new client referrals through a consultative sales approach
  • Perform all phases of the sales process including initial sales inquiries, follow-ups, in home assessments, generating care plans and recommending additional community resources when necessary
  • Respond to inquiries with a sense of urgency to discuss the needs of potential clients
  • Meet with potential clients and family members to conduct in home care consultations and provide solutions in the form of care plans
  • Work with clients and their families to modify care plans and resolve issues as needed
  • Meet new client revenue goals to increase overall market share
  • In conjunction with Home Instead leadership, develop sales and marketing plans, detailing weekly and monthly activities focused on meeting or exceeding established goals
  • Effectively present Home Instead marketing materials and services to referral providers
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities

Minimum Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Related business or sales experience (consultative sales a plus)
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable
  • Proven relationship building capability, including cold calling
  • Proactive self-starter who takes initiative
