Security & Safety Officer -BlueShield- Rancho Cordova - Full-time / Part-time

Summary Description:

Responsible for directly coordinating the shift related security, life-safety, and security activities at the sites. Works with the Account Manager and Corporate Security Team to develop security programs and supporting documentation. Interface with the Account Manager, Corporate Security Team, other facility representatives, security personnel, and other contractors and vendors.

Responsibilities Major Duties: The Security and Safety Officer is responsible for the following duties:

Operational:

1. Assists on site officers in the day-to-day security/safety duties and related activities of all the sites. Responds to emergencies and service calls as required.
2. Assist the Account Manager in the implementation of the site objectives.
3. Assist the Account Manager to evaluate security/safety performance, monitor and determine operational effectiveness, service quality and compliance with existing policies, procedures, programs and activities.
4. Assist the Account Manager in implementation of new programs or program enhancements to improve site productivity, responsiveness, and quality.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.

1. Monitoring and reviewing cameras for unusually activates
2. Assisting employees/visitors at the front desk -issuing visitor badge or temp badges(EDH/RC/Lodi)
3. Assisting lobby officers with SMP Tickets task
4. CCURE and Genetec protocol/ procedure
5. Safety inspections
6. Frequent patrol of the site and assisting bike patrol officers
7. Reviewing ERP’s
8. Badge return update in CCURE (EDH – once trained completed all other training)

Requirements:

• BSIS (Current) Guard Card
• Powers to Arrest Certificate (8-hour Course taken to get your BSIS Guard Card)
• 1-2 Years Security Experience in Retail and Customer Service
• Great Communication Skills with Customers and the Clients
• Report Writing Skills
• Radio and Technology based communication and monitoring experience
• Access Control monitoring
• Loss Prevention experience
• Clean professional appearance (Company Grooming Standards)
• HS Diploma or GED
• Must be able to successfully fulfill post duties
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must be able to pass drug screening
• Must be able to pass background check
• Should be at least 18 years of age or older as required by applicable law
• Have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers.

• 2-3 Years in High End Security and or Customer Service/Concierge experience

This Security Specialist Position requires you to be on your feet for long periods of time along with conducting foot perimeter checks on a regular basis. We are looking for highly Customer Service oriented, Friendly and professional individuals who will greet Clients coming and going along with being very proactive with monitoring for any potential shoplifting/theft or crimes that could occur on duty.
