Strategic Sourcing Analyst

We are seeking a dynamic Strategic Sourcing Analyst who will be responsible for the administration of the company's strategic sourcing processes, with a heavy emphasis on report development, analysis, and program management. Categories may include, but are not limited to, Generics, Event Supplies, Event Equipment, Travel, Auto Programs, Shipping, Office Supplies, Cell Phones, and Business Machines. This position will be responsible for interacting with all levels of the company's organizational structure; including retail, sales, finance, payroll, and human resource personnel in managing the company's internal expenses.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze expense data, create and manage reports to discover opportunities for cost savings and improved services.  Support the Strategic Sourcing Team in collecting and analyzing data for new and existing categories.
  • Collaborate on the development of policy and assist as needed to promote compliance.
  • Analyze supply spend for event equipment, event supplies and other categories
  • Review monthly reports. Identify exceptions for example, non-approved spend items, pricing discrepancies, minimum order charges, emergency order fees
  • Analyze changes or new issues in materials and supplies and find ways to reduce costs while improving quality

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or equivalent experience is required
  • 1-3 years of experience as a procurement analyst or in a financial environment
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite such as Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot tables and formulas), Power Point and Access
  • Ability to prepare data analysis results for presentations and discussions (e.g. Excel datasets, graphs, charts, slides, .html etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Alteryx and Power BI is preferred
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills; position requires daily discussions with customers at all personnel levels.
  • Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Works cooperatively with others toward common group objectives, demonstrates respect for the ideas and contributions of other team members, cultivates positive relationships with other associates, and provides assistance and support to others
