What will I be doing?

As a Sales Training Specialist (Japanese Speaking) you will be responsible for driving company success through performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Responsible for managing training needs for all International Sales Team Members with a primary focus on Oahu and supporting, as needed, in Waikoloa

  • Perform needs analysis to identify training needs and gaps and present recommendations to management

  • Develop and maintain training curriculum that is in line with business objectives and improves overall results for Sales Executives and Sales Leaders

  • Ensure new hires are properly trained and understand company culture and guidelines to aide in successful acclimation to the Hilton Grand Vacations (HGV) values, cultures, and performance goals

  • Present curriculum with considerations of adult learning needs as well as industry norms to maximize comprehension and retention of materials and information

  • Stay abreast on new developments in learning and employee development as well as technological developments in learning management systems

  • Responsible for creating and managing the training schedule

  • Work with management to create and deliver programs to develop the skills of the Sales Executives and Sales Leaders

  • Measure training effectiveness and present enhancement strategies to management

  • Manage the training budget to ensure cost efficiency

  • Additional tasks as assigned by management, as needed, to promote business objectives
Qualifications

  • Experience with sales training

  • Previous timeshare industry experience

  • Facilitation skills and organizational skills

  • Familiarity with learning management systems

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Fluency in Japanese language (speak, read, write)

  • Fluency in English language (speak, read, write)

  • High school/ GED

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Previous experience with course creation and needs analysis

  • Specific experience in training timeshare TO sales closers

  • BA/ BS/ Bachelor's Degree
