Job Description: 

L3Harris Technologies is a world leader in the design and development of secure communication products.  We are currently seeking embedded software engineers to enhance the capabilities of those products.  This is an opportunity to be on a team that takes new features from concept to release with hands-on experience for all phases of software development life cycle. The person hired for this position will be based in Rochester, NY.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field) with a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience; or Graduate Degree (in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field) with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience with embedded software
• Knowledge of C++ and C
• Experience with IP networking protocols
• Experience using Linux or similar operating systems
• Experience developing software to run on real-time operating systems
• Familiarity with Agile development and Scrum
• Experience with CORBA
• Experience designing and debugging protocols for communication between devices or processors
• Experience on products that contain multiple embedded processors
• Experience with Ground and/or Airborne Military Radios
• Positive attitude, good teamwork, and good communication skills
