As a Senior Project Manager, Logistics Initiatives, you will be responsible for building a new capability in the Logistics organization around project management. You define a structure that will help the broader team identify, scope and prioritize strategic initiatives that will drive cross-functional improvements. You will also lead the implementation and deployment of large-scale initiatives and ensure long-term transition and success into the business.

The Skills that will Make You Successful

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, Finance, or Legal;


• 5-7 Years of Large Scale Project/Program Management Experience


• Project Management Certification is preferred and Logistics experience is a plus


• Operational mindset

Description:

• Build and structure a pipeline of logistics initiatives; Develop framework to help leaders prioritize the workload; Develop a formal project intake process that can be leveraged to ensure consistency across business units.


• Develop, pilot and implement logistics strategic initiatives geared around cost savings, efficiency, service improvement or driving additional competitive advantages.


• Collaborate with Logistics groups (and/or other impacted stakeholder groups) on implementation and sustainment of logistics strategic initiatives and productivity programs.


• Develop and manage project plan and transition plan.


• Leverage project management tools to capture milestones, actions, risks & mitigations and develops communication plans to keep key stakeholders up to date on progress.


• Manage project timeline and resource planning to minimize disruptions, anticipate obstacles and drive desired business objective.


• Collaborate with operational leaders to define/refine processes relevant to strategic initiatives.


• Influence leaders across the organization to drive change and improvements in our operations and our financial results.
