Driller Assistant

Parratt-Wolff, Inc., an employee owned Geotechnical and Environmental drilling firm with offices in Central NY, PA and NC is seeking qualified Drillers Assistants. Pre-employment drug screening required. We offer very competitive wages and benefits.

Expected Hours of Work:

This position regularly offers 40 hours with frequent overtime opportunities.

Travel:

This position requires variable amounts of travel Monday through Friday with some opportunity for weekend work.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• CDL A or B Preferred, but not required.
• OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER trained preferred, but not required.
• Experience in HSA, Mud and Air Rotary, Rock Coring, Sonic, DPT, MIP/HPT and monitoring well construction preferred, but not required.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to measure lengths and volumes.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Qualifications:

Possess valid drivers license
