Job Summary

The Painter performs cosmetic applications and related repairs on all Pebble Beach Company buildings and facilities. Refinish all woodwork, including building floors, trim, paneling and furniture.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Paint and maintain all painted surfaces at all resort buildings and facilities.
• Hang, repair or remove vinyl and other wall coverings as needed.
• Install drywall and tape seams. Texture walls.
• Refinish all woodwork, including building floors, trim, paneling and furniture.
• Assist maintenance crew whenever needed.
• Participate in on-going maintenance program, performing cosmetic repairs to rooms, halls and service areas, in concert with maintenance engineers.
• Ensure that all materials and supplies needed for a given task are on hand; request needed materials in a timely way.
• Mix pain tints to match particular colors.
• Move furniture as needed.
• Perform spray painting.
• Suggest appropriate finishes and materials for each task.
• Store solvents and other flammable materials in a safe and orderly way.
• Maintain shop and painting equipment in a clean, neat and orderly way.
• Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.

Absolutely Required Skills

• Minimum 3 years prior painting and wallpaper experience.
• Must have excellent painting skills, as well as the ability to mix colors and stains.
• Ability to work in a neat and orderly way, maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
• Able to use paint sprayer and other related equipment.
• Able to perform physically active work, including heavy lifting, for an entire shift.
• Valid California driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods of time. Repetitive hand use. Firm grasping required. Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
