Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Sr. Financial Systems Analyst to join our team at the Parsippany - 22 Sylvan Way location in ParsippanyNew Jersey.

Job Summary

The role of the Senior Analyst - Managed Financial Systems will be responsible for the administration of multiple systems, (including but not limited to Hyperion Essbase,Planning, Sharepoint, Etc), oversight of systemic & non-systemic processes and associated workflows, and maintaining system integrity in accordance with internally and externally imposed Audit/SOX/SOC controls. They will also collaborate with the Director of Financial Systems & Reporting and Subject Matter Expert(s) from across the organization (SME(s)), to document and maintain functional/operational processes, establish and/or enhance proper change control management, develop and maintain various reporting and analytics on an ongoing basis. This role will also require that they continuously evaluate system and operational processes for ongoing process improvement opportunities.

In order to be successful in this role, it will require someone who is by nature a techno-functional person, a motivated self-starter, and has demonstrated professional experience building out processes, creating process flows/swim lanes, as well as designing and/or maintaining associated controls for assigned systems and/or activities.
This position will have no direct reports and will take direction from the Director of Financial Systems & Reporting to work on projects that achieve identified goals, which in turn align with corporate goals and strategic plans.

  • Provide support, end-to-end finance system administration, & issue triage/remediation
  • Manage system integrity, security, controls, provide guidance and oversight in the areas of data governance and compliance
  • Participate in the development of systemic solutions to business problems and enable the organization to effectively employ technology to improve decision-making and operational performance.
  • Provide financial reporting and analysis support as needed for the financial close process and general ah-hoc inquires
  • Lead system and data issue from triage to resolution in collaboration with business users and IT
  • Provide Hyperion financial reporting development, system support, and training for assigned application(s)

Other Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create and manage systemic & non-systemic process flows.
  • Ensure that policies & procedures are continually reviewed & kept up to date
  • Establish a training program for new and existing users that will enable them to fully leverage system capabilities
  • Perform various reconciliations between systems and identify, communicate, and resolve discrepencies
  • Assist in creating project plans, training materials, and delivery of  end user training
  • M&A support (Where & when applicable)
Experience & Education
  • 3 years demonstrated SQL experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Information Systems or a related field is highly preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the area of system support is required
  • Project Management experience is a plus or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Experience with direct or indirect oversight of SOC-1, SOC-2, SSAE16, SSAE18 reporting
  • Experience in a functional finance (Accounting/Financial Planning) role is highly preferred
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is strongly preferred
  • Power user experience or higher with Hyperion Essbase, Planning, SmartView is highly preferred
  • Dodeca experience is a plus
