Position Title: Attended Donation Center Attendant (ADC)

Job Identification:
• Immediate Supervisor: Store Manager.
• Wage: $13/hour.
• EEOC Class: Labors and Helpers.
• FLSA Status: Non-Exempt.

Job Summary:
The Attended Donation Center Attendant will oversee donation operations by providing information and support to donors, monitoring donation and backroom activities, and collecting donations and issuing receipts.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Directs vehicles and customers to correct donation locations.
• Inspects donations to ensure type of donation is appropriate; redirects donations that do not meet company requirements.
• Receives and records donations from donors.
• Answers inquiries related to donation operations.
• Ensures proper handling and disposal of trash, recyclables and hazardous waste.
• Maintains logs and records detailing disposal of hazardous waste materials.
• Sorts and stores donations in a safe manner.
• Performs upkeep around donation area, backroom and store to ensure a safe and clean facility.
• Works at other donation sites when needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team and/or mission.

Required Skills/Abilities:
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Excellent verbal communication skills.
* Read, write, speak and understand English.
* Basic understanding of laws and regulations related to hazardous materials.
* Honesty.
* May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.
* Knowledgeable about company's mission and services, and customer-related policies.
Physical Requirements:
* Must work in all weather conditions.
* Prolonged periods standing (up to 8 hours).
* Must be able to lift/pull/push up to 50 pounds at times.
* Ability to bend/squat/stoop.
* Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
* Free from drug and alcohol abuse.

Equipment, machines and tools used:
* Hand truck.

Personal Protective Equipment Used - Assigned at orientation/as needed:
* Safety belt
* Face Mask
* Hand sanitizer (available at worksite)
* Disinfectant wipes (available at worksite)
* Gloves
* Goggles
