Animal Science Technician II

Kelly Services is looking for a Animal Care Technician II in Cambridge, MA

12 month contract

Pay Rate: 24/hr

Description:

Supports Site Operations by providing facility and vivarium operational support services.

This position reports to the Site Facility Manager.

Major Responsibilities: 

Intra-facility support services; animal husbandry; material distribution; including but not limited to: 

• Receive and house incoming animal orders 

• Monitor animal health and welfare; animal husbandry duties 

• Vivarium housekeeping and sanitization per schedule 

• Shipping, Receiving, and Distribution Logistics 

• Hazardous Material & Compressed Gas Handling 

• Function Room set-ups and equipment moves 

Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma required 

• 2-3 years relevant experience; basic rodent handling skill preferred 

• Practical computer skills including the use of Word, Excel, and Outlook 

• Able to lift 50 pounds.

• Able to perform repetitive procedures.

• Must be adaptable and flexible to meet demands of ever changing work environment.

• Strong interpersonal and team competencies 

• Ability to work with minimal supervision
