SUPERVISOR, RN (LICENSED HOME CARE)

The RN Supervisor participates in the development and implementation of the philosophy, objectives and general practices of the home care agency. The RN Supervisor is responsible for supervising RN field staff of the Licensed Agency. He/she assesses client needs, develops care plans, and observes and documents patient status. Population served: Diverse population of all ages residing in Dutchess, Putnam, Orange, Ulster, Columbia, Rockland, Sullivan and Westchester counties. Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience as a RN, home care experience preferred Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Demonstrated leadership skills required. Experience in teaching/training preferred. Licenses/Certifications: Current New York State Registered Nursing License. New York State driver's license Other: If applicable, the individual performing this job may reasonably anticipate coming into contact with human blood and other potentially infectious materials. Individuals in this position are required to exercise universal precautions, use personal protective equipment and devices, and learn the policies concerning infection control. Mental and physical health sufficient to meet demands of the position Ability to work both independently and with health care team. Typing, word processing, basic data base management skills and knowledge of general office equipment.
