Cook $14+ to start- - Full-time / Part-time

Our team in El Cajon, CA is growing and we are looking to add a quality Back of the House team member in the role of a Cook.  

Duties typical of a Cook:

-Verifies food requirements for established menus and orders as needed.
-Regulates temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters, and steam kettles.
-Follows established menus.
-Observe and test foods being cooked by tasting, smelling and piercing with fork if needed to determine if cooked properly.
-Wash and prepare fruits and vegetables for use in menus.
-Cut, trim, and de-bone meat as needed.
-Bakes bread, rolls, cakes, and pastry when needed.
-Directly serve guests and students.
-Replenish items on food line.
-Operate fryers and grills
-Assist in assembling product to be prepared and cooked for meals.
-Break down, clean, and sanitize serving lines and kitchen prep areas.
-Back up all line servers

Physical Requirements:

-Able to reach, bend, and stoop frequently. 
-Lift up to 40 pounds, but have the ability to lift up to 55 pounds.  
-Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.  
-This position will involve some repetitive motion tasks.  
-This position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.

You Will be Hired if:
  
-You have an open availability to work (29-35 hours per week depending on need)
-You have full mobility; the ability to lift, carry, and pull up to 30 pounds; and ability to tolerate frequent bending,stooping, and kneeling.
