Job Summary:

Driver will be responsible for safely driving a multi-axle truck for transporting aggregate and asphalt products to plants and job sites. May be required to drive a mixer truck when necessary.

Duties:

• The Aggregate Truck Driver will be responsible for all duties of position, including the transporting of aggregate and asphalt products to plants and job sites in a safe manner
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Load material at asphalt or aggregate plant and safely transport to other plants and/or job sites
• Tarp load when needed to protect product being hauled. Job requires cleaning and washing of vehicle to include the spraying down of trailers when needed in designated areas
• Maintains a clean truck and practices good housekeeping on all equipment and in the plant. Reports any necessary maintenance or adjustments that may be required
• Must be able to work flexible schedule with flexible hours, hours vary. Must be able to travel to various work locations based on work availability and customer demand
• Overtime, weekend work and nights may be required
• Can be exposed to extremes of hot and cold weather
• Must be able to work cooperatively with others

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must have safe driving record (will have to provide DMV H-6 printout)
• Must have California Commercial Class A with Doubles Endorsement
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening to be considered
• No more than two moving violations within the past 24 months
• No serious moving violations within the past 36 months
• Seeking candidates with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and strong customer service skills
• Must adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, State, and Federal regulations

Preferred:

Experience in aggregate or heavy construction industries 2+ years commercial driving

Conditions of Employment:

Successful candidate must submit to post offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
