Extremely busy upscale salon is seeking a full-time salon manager. This position requires you manage from behind the chair approximately 20 hours per week.
Note: you may work more behind the chair should you choose but not at the expense of the successful operation of the salon or failure to perform your manager duties.
The other 20 hours per week you must ensure the smooth operation of the salon from inside the store helping with guest services or administrative management duties.
Job Requirements
- Cosmetology or Barber license
- Leadership experience

- Willing to work evenings and weekends, specifically must be available to work Fridays and Saturdays until close.

Description of Duties:
- Lead by example and coach other to improve to ensure the salon operates at peak efficiency and the guest experience is excellent
- Maintain store schedule, handling all vacation requests and emergency time off
- Be available for emergency situations (e.g., employee calling out sick)
- Organize and facilitate all staff training
- Manage accuracy of all register transactions and ensure cash is supplied as necessary
- Schedule guest reservations and provide service information. Oversee and participate in opening and closing procedures.
- Daily review of the appointment book to ensure all reservations are booked correctly and efficiently for revenue maximization
- Maximize guest retention for each stylist/barber
- Resolve guest challenges
- Lead all employees in all issues connected to guest satisfaction, safety, and sanitation
- Support retail sales expectations and coach team to increase retail sales
- Manage salon supply and retail inventory
- Maintenance and upkeep of employees personal records & discipline documentation.
- Perform all new hire onboarding.
- Participate in weekly and monthly meetings with the owners
- Prepare, participate and conduct Store Meetings
